We are now interested in speaking with experienced Senior Consultants - Emergency Medicine to join the Qatar government funded national health service, who is the main provider of secondary and tertiary healthcare services with a multi-national workforce of over 29,000 professionals.

They manage 12 hospitals – nine specialist hospitals and three community hospitals – as well as the National Ambulance Service and home and residential care services.

This organisation has strong partnerships with Weill Cornell Medicine, SIDRA, Qatar Biomedical Research Institute, Primary Health Care Corporation, The University of Qatar, The University of Calgary and the College of the North Atlantic and is already the first outside of the US to have all of its hospitals accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI).

It is also the first hospital system in the Middle East to achieve institutional accreditation from the ACGME International LLC, which demonstrates excellence in the way medical graduates are trained through residency, internship and fellowship programs.

What do you need?

Valid license to practice in your country of origin or within your country of practice

• Arab Board of Health Specializations
• USA - The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)
• Canada - Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (RCPS-C)
• UK - GMC/CCST Specialist Register
• Germany - Fachartz Specialist Certificate
• Sweden - Swedish Board
• Australia and New Zealand – Fellowship from the Royal Australia and New Zealand Colleges

Specialist registration from other countries will be considered after an equivalence review

• Consultants with western qualifications and completed a sub-specialty fellowship should have held a Consultant post for at least 1 year
• Senior Consultants with western qualifications should have held a Senior Consultant post for at least 1 year, or a period of 6 years consultant experience is required.
• Unfortunately Physicians holding a non-western qualification and no fellowship will not be considered
